Altermodern

Altermodern unites Cubist strains in Irish Modernism—notably Mainie Jellett and Evie Hone—and the work of French painter Albert Gleizes. Each artist’s brushwork is traced like a fingerprint and improvised upon, inviting the picture to fold inward and spill outward as gesture, surface, and structure coalesce into new paintings.
